Vedic Astrology - otherwise known as Jyotiṣa (Jyotisha) - is what I like to call the "karmic mapquest". Just as we go to our computers these days for directions on the best way to get from point A to point B so also people consult with a Vedic Astrologer to help navigate the twists and turns of life in the most dynamic and taylor made way.
Jyotiṣa offers a map of one's karma - a view of one's past, present and future, and a means to understand the dance of fate and free will within our own lives. Several key tools are used in Jyotiṣa including the analysis of a horoscope (jyotiṣa), hand (hasta), and environment (vāstu).
